I tried to quit for years. Some days I only had one ... some days none ... then chain smoking when I stressed. It's a very hard habit to break because it's more than a habit, it's an addiction. I quit smoking 26 years ago - I'd smoked a pack and a half a day for about 7 years at the time. I found after the first 3 days it was OK.
